20th March 2020
Each child will take home a learning pack on Friday which will include some key essential equipment the children will need, including a reading book or books. We recognise that some families are self-isolating, and therefore staff from St Mary’s Fields will be delivering the packs from today and the beginning of next week. Obviously we do not want anyone self-isolating to come into school. Thank you for your support.
All online learning will be signposted or take place on our school’s website class pages. Each week the teachers will continue to add additional resources, lessons and learning content. Not all of the activities are academic, there are some great ideas and suggestions about fun things you can do and access as a family to support home learning and make this experience as fun as possible. Please inform us if you do not have access to the internet or a device at home to access home learning resources. Chestnut, Rowan and Hawthorn Classes will also continue to use Tapestry alongside the website. We have a limited amount of Ipad’s that can be loaned from the school, please contact the office.
If you need to contact us you can continue to do this via the office email: email@example.com We hope to keep in touch with you all every week via a newsletter but please don’t hesitate to contact us at anytime if you need anything. The support of our local community over these last few weeks has been amazing. Your supportive comments have made our job so much easier. We are grateful that we have families who care and appreciate what we do. Thank you. I am sure you will appreciate this is an incredibly complex matter to resolve in a very short time, and we are no further ahead with information than the general public.
We all hope that we will see everyone back at school sooner rather than later. On behalf of the governors and staff at St Mary’s Fields Primary School we hope that everyone stays safe and gets through this difficult time in the best way you can.
